What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy helps restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability.
Physiotherapist must be registered. You can check with the Health and Care professions website www.hcpc-uk.org. They regulate health and care professionals in the UK, like physiotherapists, and ensures that standards of care are maintained to the highest levels and that physiotherapists are up to date with their training. What does this mean for you? This means that health and care professionals registered with the HCPC are genuine and meet national standards.

What should I wear?
Appropriate dress – please wear or bring something that will enable us to see what we are treating whilst maintaining your modesty!
Shorts if treating lower limbs, sleeveless tops for upper limbs, we realise that this is a very personal thing – some people are quite embarrassed about removing their clothing while others do not mind.
We are sensitive to this and will try at all times to accommodate you.

How do I get referred?
You can easily make an appointment online through the online booking system, or ring on 028 90661919.
Patients under the age of 16 years will always require a parent or guardian to be present at every appointment.

Where can I park? / How can I pay?
We have our own onsite parking facilities in front of our clinic for you whilst visiting the clinic. If the car parking space is full you can park anywhere along Lisburn Road or Elmwood Avenue.
You can pay for your treatment with credit or debit card or cash.

Where are you?
We are situated at 98 Lisburn Road, Belfast. We are opposite Belfast City Hospital and Dunluce health Centre. Starbucks is next door.

Do you accept Health Insurance?
Yes, we are registered with all of the major insurance companies, (BUPA, AXAPPP, WPA, Benenden, Aviva, H3, Vitality etc). If your health insurance company is paying for your treatment please remember to bring your policy details and pre-authorisation number if you have one.
07.
What happens on my first visit?
At your appointment, the physiotherapist will take a thorough history of your problems and ask detailed questions about the behaviour of your symptoms and relevant medical history.
The physio will then observe examine and test various movements and structures to diagnose your problem and establish the cause of your symptoms.
